Two Fire & Rescue vehicles arrived on St Helena on Tuesday 28 June 2016, and will replace two of the existing fleet. The Bremach fire appliances (photo attached) are currently with the Government Garage for necessary inspections prior to being handed over to the Fire & Rescue Service.
A formal launch of the new appliances will be held later this month when the vehicles are taken into service.
Chief of Police Trevor Botting said:
“I am delighted that the two new appliances have arrived to join the fleet of the Fire & Rescue Service. The new vehicles will help to ensure that the service provided by the Fire & Rescue team keeps St Helena and her community safe.”
