NEW ARTS & CULTURE YOUTH CLUB FOR ST HELENA

The St Helena Safeguarding Children Board is currently looking to commission a new arts & culture youth club for young people on the Island. The Board is hoping that suitable individuals or organisations will come forward and offer a service that promotes art, music and culture, and provides a safe environment for children and young people on St Helena.

Children’s Champion, Councillor Christine Scipio O’Dean, encourages people to submit their interest:

“Young people are the future of our Island and providing them with a safe environment to develop and nurture their talents is imperative.

“As a member of the Safeguarding Children Board and also as Children’s Champion, I hope that appropriate organisations and individuals will express an interest in providing this kind of facility to improve youth provision on St Helena and encourage local talent to flourish.”

Expressions of Interest to provide such a facility for young people should be submitted by Thursday 5 November 2015 at 12noon. Please see local newspapers of 22 & 23 October for more details.
