The Highways Authority has given approval for a one-way traffic system on Longwood Avenue Road (between Longwood Gate and Longwood Green) from 12pm to 1pm on Saturday, 7 April 2018.
The purpose of this one-way system is to accommodate Harford Primary School’s Farm Fun Day Parade from Longwood Green to Harford Primary School.
The diversion route for traffic wishing to enter Longwood will be via Deadwood Road to the junction at Foxy’s Garage and onto the Airport Road through to Reggie’s Takeaway in Bottom Woods.
Traffic returning from Bottom Woods can travel via the normal route towards Longwood Gate. A speed limit of 10mph from Longwood Avenue to Longwood Gate will be implemented.
Appropriate road closure and diversion signs will be in place and, as normal, only emergency services will be granted full access.
