The public is advised that urgent repair works are needed on Ladder Hill Road. In the interest of public safety, Ladder Hill Road will therefore be fully closed to all traffic and pedestrians from 9.30am on Tuesday, 24 October, until Monday, 30 October 2017.
The Roads Section will be repairing the road and retaining wall to make it safe for regular use.
To enable the Roads Section to start excavation work, Narrabacks, Shy Road, the Jamestown Fuel Station and the whole of Jacob’s Ladder will be closed on Tuesday, 24 October. The Prison and Ogborn House will also be evacuated. Residents are currently being contacted.
During this closure period, all access to and from Jamestown will be via cross country – White Gate on towards the Dungeon, to Gordon’s Post and then into Jamestown via Side Path Road.
The public will be kept updated via the local radio stations.
