JAMESTOWN SWIMMING POOL – UPDATE

Remedial works on the Jamestown Swimming Pool are advancing, with the new complex filter room and pipework installation nearing completion.

Restoration works, undertaken by the St Helena National Trust to the Heritage wall abutting the Swimming Pool, are now complete.

New paving and edging works to the pool are well underway, together with remedial work necessary to the pool itself before applying new decorative coatings.

Dependent on weather conditions, the completion of resealing and painting works will take place during the next three weeks, enabling the pool to be refilled.

Negotiations are currently taking place to enable an overseas Design Engineer to visit the Island to complete the installation, commissioning, testing, and training required to operate the pool and its new equipment.

It is anticipated that the Jamestown Swimming Pool will be reopened for the holiday period.
