INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY 2015

International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world annually on 12 May – the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.

On St Helena, in celebration of International Nurses Day, a small Open Day will be held at the Hospital on Tuesday 12 May 2015 from 12noon to 2.30pm.

On the day visitors will be able to view the plans for the new Hospital refurbishment and the almost complete Education Centre. There will also be leaflets and posters on display detailing what Nurses do, how the triage system works and information for patients.

It is hoped that Nurses on duty will be able to showcase their new uniforms and explain their ongoing training and development within the Hospital.

There will also be interactive sessions to involve the public and a celebratory cake for visitors to enjoy.

All are invited to attend.
