A formal meeting of Legislative Council will take place on Tuesday, 14 March 2017, at 10am in the Council Chamber. The meeting will be broadcast live via SAMS Radio 1.
The Order Paper includes six Motions, eight Questions and ten Sessional Papers, including the St Helena Currency Fund Financial Statements for year ended 31 March 2016, ESH Financial Statements for year ended 31 March 2016, SHG Financial Statements 2015/16 and the St Helena Audit Service Management Letter – Financial Statements 2015/16. Other Sessional Papers include the St Helena Audit Service Strategic Audit Plan 2017/18 – 2019/20 and SHG’s response to the Public Accounts Committee reports laid before Legislative Council on 9 December 2016.
The following Bills for Ordinances will also be presented:
- The General Amendment (Gender Equality) Ordinance, 2017
- The Employment Rights (Amendment) Ordinance, 2017
- The Third Supplementary Appropriation (2016/17) Ordinance, 2017
The meeting will conclude with the customary Adjournment Debate, when Councillors will have the opportunity to raise various issues relating to St Helena.
