This year there will be minimal disruption to the domestic waste collection service due to the days that Public Holidays fall on. The only change to normal domestic waste collection, and for shops and bars, will be:
Jamestown – Collection on Friday 25 December will be changed to Saturday 26 December.
All other domestic waste collections throughout Christmas and New Year will remain unchanged.
Bulky Waste Collection Service
The free Bulky Waste Collection Service will stop on Wednesday 16 December and resume on Monday 11 January. This temporary cessation is to facilitate the visiting cruise ship on Thursday 17 December 2015 and to allow waste management operations from 4-8 January 2016 (clean-up of Crown Land).
Horse Point Landfill Site
Horse Point Landfill Site will remain open on Monday to Sunday from 9am to 3pm but will be closed on Public Holidays as normal. The site will be closed on Friday 25 December, Monday 28 December 2015 and Friday 1 January 2016.
Incineration Service
Incineration services throughout Christmas and New Year will remain unchanged.
