Elected Members, together with Government Officials will hold a Public Consultation Meeting on Wednesday, 15 November 2017, at 7.30 pm at the Harford Community Centre to present the two proposed Sites for the new Prison in the Bottom Woods area of Longwood.
The two proposed sites are:
- West of the Met Station
- An area further up, known as the Goat Pen Area
The public, in particular, residents in the Bottom Woods area are encouraged to attend the meeting in order to obtain details of the proposals and to provide their views and comments.
The layouts of the proposed sites will be placed in the Foyer of Essex House and at Longwood Supermarket for the public to view from Monday, 30 October. Anyone wishing to make any comment on the proposed sites for the new Prison may do so in the comments book that will be left in the Foyer of Essex House or via email to the Secretary to the Prison Project Board, Miss Nicole Plato: nicole.plato@sainthelena.gov.sh by no later than Thursday, 30 November.
In addition, the layout will also be available on the SHG website from Monday, 30 October.
