As part of Cancer Support and Awareness month, the SHG Health Promotion Section is collaborating with other organisations to raise awareness on the prevention of chronic diseases and Cancer.
The Health Directorate would like to advise the public that a talk entitled ‘Be your own hero’, presented by Mr Martin Henry, will take place at Rosie’s Bar & Restaurant on Friday, 11 October 2019, at 7.15pm and is open to persons over the age of 16 years.
The main topics of this talk will include:
- The basic role our genes play in inheriting chronic diseases or Cancer
- Why stress is a major factor in developing Cancer
- How changing your diet can reduce your overall risk of lifestyle diseases
- How to be your own superhero
Members of the public are encouraged to attend.
