AVIATION (GENERAL AMENDMENTS) BILL 2016

Executive Council met on Tuesday 16 February 2016 and approved the Aviation (General Amendments) Bill 2016 for publication and public consultation.  The Bill sets out a series of minor amendments to existing legislation in order to facilitate air access and to bring St Helena into line with international standards and requirements.  These changes mainly affect aircraft operators and their personnel.

Comments are now invited on the Bill.  The document can be viewed at: http://www.sainthelenaaccess.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/ExCo-Memo-08-16-Aviation-General-Amendments-Bill-Feb-16.pdf and copies have been placed in the Public Library and at the Access Office at the Post Office.

Interested persons are asked to contact Janet Lawrence, Airport Project Director, with any comments or queries via email at janet.lawrence@sainthelena.gov.sh or tel: 22477 – or by dropping into the Access Office at the Post Office Building.

Given the minor nature of the amendments, the deadline for feedback is Wednesday 24 February 2016 at 4pm.
