SUSAN O’BEY SWORN IN AS CHIEF SECRETARY

Chief Secretary (Designate) Susan O’Bey, was today, Monday 23 April 2018, sworn in as Chief Secretary for St Helena .

Susan took the prescribed Oaths in the presence of HE Governor Lisa Honan and colleagues in the Governor’s Office, The Castle. Her appointment is effective immediately.

Susan said:

“I am very proud to be taking on the role of Chief Secretary, and to have the privilege of leading a great team of people as we work to serve the people of St Helena. This is a wonderful time to be living and working on the Island and I look forward to building on the solid foundations that were put in place by my predecessor Roy Burke.”

Former Chief Secretary, Roy Burke, departs the Island today on completion of his contract with St Helena Government.
